Submission of Extended Abstracts	Prospective authors are kindly invited to send an extended abstract (PDF-file; about 1000 words) to abstracts@smit2008.com. The abstract should include the contact address of the main author, a list of keywords and should be organized in the sections (1) Purpose, (2) Materials and Methods, (3) Results and (4) Conclusions. Submissions may be research papers on original work, system design descriptions, research surveys, project descriptions, or position papers. Note that papers without any explicit discussion or application of the context of innovative tool and/or method in medicine will not be accepted. All submissions will be peer reviewed. Final contributions up to 6 pages (format guidelines will be sent out together with the letter of acceptance) will be included in the workshop publication. Each accepted paper has to be presented by one of the authors at the conference and must be accompanied by a registration fee.
